Keep the Dream
by PJ Salas

ʺ… a dream comes by the multitude of business, and a fool’s voice is known by his many words.ʺ Ecclesiastes5:3.

Enterprise

The word "business" in Ecclesiastes chapter five and verse three is translated from a Hebrew word (עִנְיָן) meaning "to travail". It comes from a primitive root word (עָנָה) that implies "to bear down".

Successful dreamers will tell you this is a most accurate description of what it takes to see your dream come true. One must bear down, set their mind on course, travailing and laboring in earnest, not giving up through disappointment, setbacks, and hardship.

Tenacious

Effective dreamers pursue their dreams with tenacity, relentless in their pursuit. They understand well Ecclesiastes chapter five, verse three. They understand, more often than not, the dream does not come easy, but by persistence, fortitude, hard work, and much travail, until the dream is birthed and thriving.

Persevere

So it is for the Christian in pursuit of their God given dream, the blessed hope of our future eternal home. We must keep our dream, never giving up, never allowing obstacles, disappointment, hardship, or failure to keep us from it. Holding firmly to Jesus is a necessity.

Hold Fast

We must not let go of our hope, and cling to our help, the Lord Jesus. Continuing to trust God’s promise to be fulfilled; we know it will be, and we do everything we can to make it a reality by holding fast to Jesus, that we live and do the Word of God, always praying for answers and the leadership of God’s Spirit.

We do not go on with many words, fruitless in positive purpose, gabbing about useless fascinations. Actively we engage our faith in the pursuit of our God given dream through productive actions, and following God’s Word. We adhere to our future hope, believing God for His grace and strength to do all through Jesus, to live out His Word in our lives. (Philippians4:13)

Keep Hope

How is it with you, are you holding to the hope, the blessed hope, your dream for the eternal future? Are you full of hope and promise, standing firm in Jesus, ever embracing Him and His promise, purchased with His own blood? Are you trusting and living out the Word of God in your life through Christ?

Be strong and of a good courage. Be persistent in prayer, and in the exercise of your faith and hope. Steadfastly hold to God's promises, trusting in Him, and leaning on Jesus in the down times and in the good times; ever letting Him help you do all things He commands.

Dream Giver

Follow Jesus. Be about His business. Never lose sight of your eternal home, always trusting firmly in Christ; having faith that moves the mountains of your life. (Matthew17:20;21:21;Mark11:23).

Cling to the Dream Giver, the Lord Jesus. Persist in and through Him, who with His own precious blood purchased your God given dream.

Embrace the Dream Giver

Keep the dream. Embrace the Dream Giver. Hold on and don't let go.

ʺthe grace of God shines forth, giving light, bringing salvation to all people; teaching us to refuse ungodliness and worldly longings, to live righteously, godly, and wisely in this present world."

"Looking for the blessed hope, the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, to redeem us from all sin, and purify to Himself a special people, zealous for good works.ʺ
Titus2:11-14.
